To kick off this incredible partnership, we thought we'd share the blog Almost 30 sent out stating why they love Oat of the Ordinary just so darn much!
Be sure to tune into Almost 30 here.
We have a new health hack for you (and this one’s a game-changer!). Spoiler alert: It has to do with your breakfast! Without further ado, introducing, Oat of the Ordinary.
IN THIS POST YOU’LL LEARN:
- What is Oat of the Ordinary
- Why breakfast is so important
- The special ingredients that make it unique
- The reason we chose to invest in Oat of the Ordinary
When I (Linds) look back on my eating habits, I notice one routine that has been the most supportive. When I’ve eaten a healthy breakfast (no matter what time it may be), the rest of my eating habits for the day follow suit. Especially when it’s a breakfast that consists of fiber, fat, and protein.
Not only do these ingredients help me stay full for hours, but they also turn off hunger hormones while balancing blood sugar levels. This means more focus and productivity without feeling the need to snack, become distracted, or experience energy crashes.
So, how do you create a healthy breakfast routine that meets these requirements without hours of shopping or meal prep? Meet my new breakfast bestie — Oat of the Ordinary.Lindsey Simcik, Almost 30
Friends, I am SO excited to share this discovery with you. Sustaining my healthy breakfast routine has never been easier.
Krista and I love it so much, we invested in them!
Not only did we fall in love with the taste, convenience, and healthy ingredients, we support their mission and giveback. As a fellow women-owned small business, co-founders Chara and Vanessa made it their mission to provide a clean and satiating meal for their community so they can own their day no matter how busy their schedule may be.
Plus, as a part of their giveback, Oat of the Ordinary provides healthy meals to children in need. You can see why we love it!
Here’s Why You’ll Love Oat of the Ordinary
1. OAT OF THE ORDINARY IS HIGH IN PLANT-BASED PROTEIN (11G SERVING!)
Protein is essential for multiple functions within the body — especially when it comes to our muscle, skin, hair, and nail growth. It also helps turn off those hunger hormones I mentioned before and supports our metabolism, energy, and bone health while reducing cravings.
2. OAT OF THE ORDINARY IS HIGH IN FIBER
We all know the importance of gut health and good gut bacteria, which is why it’s so essential to include soluble fiber in our diets. Soluble fiber feeds our healthy gut bacteria, which in turn supports our immune system — SO important!
It also digests slower than other fiber, meaning we feel full longer while preventing blood sugar crashes (aka no mid-afternoon pick-me-ups or naps needed!).
3. OAT OF THE ORDINARY SUPPORTS BALANCING HORMONES
Oat of the Ordinary uses an organic gluten-free rolled oat, which is packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants on its own.
These combined with the protein, flax, and chia work together to reduce insulin and prevent spikes from our stress hormones, which can wreak havoc on our adrenals and affect our healthy hormone levels throughout the body. Who knew one bowl of oatmeal a day could provide so many benefits?!
4. OAT OF THE ORDINARY TASTES AMAZING WHILE USING CLEAN INGREDIENTS
It’s tough to find convenient foods that have clean ingredients these days, which is why I had to touch on this! Through the use of freeze-dried berries and organic superfoods, Oat of the Ordinary has nailed the taste without the use of artificial ingredients.
With only 3-4 grams of sugar per serving — mainly coming from the freeze-dried berries and a pinch of nutrient-rich organic coconut sugar — I honestly couldn’t believe something this clean could taste so good. I LOVE the Cacao Coconut as a healthy dessert option!
I’m loving the Blueberry Cinnamon right now made overnight style while Krista loves the Raspberry, which is high in vitamin C and supports the natural production of collagen.Lindsey Simcik, Almost 30
